🌲 Expedition Overview
The Yukon River Part 2 is the perfect way to experience the historic lower half of the legendary Yukon River without committing to the full Whitehorse–Dawson journey. Starting in Carmacks, this route follows in the wake of the Klondike stampeders, winding past old trapper cabins, trading posts, and the iconic Fort Selkirk before continuing through the dramatic Five Finger Rapids and onward to Dawson City.
With 10 days on the river, nights spent in wilderness camps, and two hotel nights in Dawson to celebrate the journey’s end, this trip blends wilderness, history, and adventure. Along the way, enjoy Yukon Wide’s renowned riverside cuisine, small group travel (max 8 participants per guide), and expert interpretation of the river’s past and present.
