🌲 Expedition Overview

The Nisutlin River flows through pristine wilderness southeast of Teslin, offering a journey that blends scenic valleys, clear water, and abundant wildlife. This river is unique because it offers two distinct trip options, making it accessible for families, beginners, and those seeking a longer, more challenging adventure.

  • 6-Day Nisutlin Recreation Site Option
Starting from the Nisutlin Recreation Site, this route avoids the more technical upper section. Once on the main Nisutlin, the river is wide, steady, and beginner-friendly — perfect for families, first-time paddlers, or those looking for a shorter but rewarding Yukon experience.
  • Longer Rose River Bridge Option
For those with more time and some paddling experience, launching from the Rose River Bridge adds several days of wilderness travel. The Rose River section is narrower and more technical, with tighter turns and sweepers, before it meets the Nisutlin. From there, the current eases and the river becomes accessible and enjoyable for all levels.

Whichever option you choose, expect remote camping, wildlife sightings, and Yukon Wide’s exceptional riverside cuisine. Our guides are known for turning camp meals into memorable experiences — with hearty breakfasts, riverside lunches, and fresh, creative dinners that prove wilderness travel doesn’t mean instant noodles.
