🌲 Tour Overview

Short on time but still want to experience the legendary Yukon River? The Yukon River Fly-In 4 Day Tour packs adventure, history, and wilderness into a compact weeklong trip.

You’ll begin with a scenic floatplane flight over Lake Laberge, avoiding days of open-water paddling, and land at Lower Laberge — a historic Gold Rush starting point. From there, your river journey flows downstream through Yukon wilderness and past some of the river’s most important landmarks.

Highlights include exploring Hootalinqua, a former telegraph and Northwest Mounted Police post, and seeing the remains of the sternwheeler SS Evelyn. You’ll also stop at Big Salmon Village, an important historic Indigenous settlement.

With steady currents, easy camping, and Yukon Wide’s renowned riverside cuisine, this tour is perfect for families, beginners, or travelers with limited time. After four days of paddling and three nights under northern skies, the journey concludes at Little Salmon Village, where a shuttle brings you back to Whitehorse.

This is the Yukon River made accessible — history, wilderness, and adventure all in just one unforgettable week.
